Adaptive Reuse Mixed-use Ground-up Development

Little River is a neighborhood project consisting of adaptive reuse and ground-up construction. AJ aims to preserve the cultural enclave’s creative energy and local charm, with 25 acres of land throughout the neighborhood, encompassing more than 350,000 square feet of commercial space. In addition to the renovation of the existing 50 structures, upcoming new developments include a 275-unit branded-multifamily project. The neighborhood represents the dynamic and diverse population within the South Florida ecosystem, as AJ looks to further establish Little River as the epicenter for culture, cuisine, and the arts.

May Hosiery Mills

May Hosiery is the adaptive reuse of the oldest sock mill in the South, dating back to 1908. This mixed-use campus features six charming brick buildings set on four acres in Wedgewood Houston. The program consists of 175,000 square feet of Class A office, retail, boutique hotel & private members' club, as well as AJ headquarters. the May Hosiery Mills adaptive reuse mixed-used development is the first phase of AJ’s broader investment in Wedgewood Houston.

Ground-Up Office and Multifamily Development

Nashville Warehouse Co. is the city's first large-scale mass timber project that lives at the center of AJ's ground-up redevelopment of a 5.2-acre site in Wedgewood Houston. This robust, mixed-use campus offers 200,000 square feet of Class A office space, public pedestrian spaces, and an acre of communal green space less than 2 miles from downtown. The lawn includes an outdoor bandshell framed by the original guitar-shaped scoreboard from Greer Stadium, former home of the Nashville Sounds. The campus features on-site parking, a fitness center, and an adjacent 275-unit residential building that will deliver in 2023. Nashville Warehouse Co. and the surrounding campus make up phase two of AJ’s broader investment in Wedgewood Houston.

This Private Members' Club project is an adaptive reuse of the iconic Troy Laundry Building, set on .92 acres in the Central Eastside, a rapidly expanding creative neighborhood of Portland, OR. Dating back to 1914, the original building provides a timeless exterior, along with industrial-style interior details. The club includes a total of 62,000 sf, 27 hotel rooms, a rooftop terrace, swimming pool, spa, event space, screening room, food and beverage spaces, and fitness center.

Ground-Up Multifamily Development

The Portland Multifamily Residential is a ground-up multifamily residential development located on the corner of SE Ash Street and SE 10th Avenue in Portland’s former manufacturing hub, the Central Eastside. This project will be developed on 0.46 acres and will offer approximately 136 units with a total of 106,000 sf. AJ is spearheading the design, programming, and branding for a truly differentiated residential experience. The ground floor will feature thoughtfully curated amenities along with 12,000 sf of retail space. Property amenities include a roof deck, fitness center, a dog run and wash, as well as on-site bike maintenance.

New Orleans Children's Museum

Adaptive Reuse and Ground-Up Multifamily Development

This project features a combination of adaptive reuse and ground-up development that will transform the Historic Louisiana Children's Museum into a distinctive multifamily project. 420 Julia Street is located in the Warehouse District, a sophisticated, artistic district within the heart of New Orleans. The new multifamily property will be comprised of four floors of apartments in addition to ground-floor retail with a coffee shop, garden, and lobby designed to serve as a living room for the neighborhood.
